Aromatic, delicious, a favourite; on any celebratory occasion and highly favoured in the Indian sub-continent.  Also described as a ‘meal of its own kind’, pilau can be cooked with a choice of meats or chicken, whereas some regions will have pilau prepared with prawns, fish or just vegetables.
Flavoured with a seasoned broth and spices, its unique flavour makes the lamb pilau-dish a favourite, and if there was no sight of pilau on the table at a function then the entire joy of having a feast would not be the same. It is thus very rare if any of the guests are ever left disappointed because not providing Pilau is almost seen as an unthinkable action.  Always served on special occasions, religious festivals, parties, and as a wedding meal!
